M3 motorway to close for a weekend in June

24 May 2016 – Part of the M3 is to close on the weekend of 24th-26th June, between junctions 2 and 3, which will affect people driving to Bisley.

According to a local community website the motorway will be shut between 8pm Friday 24th June and 5am Monday 27th June to allow a bridge to be demolished.

Alternative routes are: if you’re coming from the north, leave the M25 at junction 13 and take the A30 west past Egham until you meet the A322.

From the south, leave the M25 at junction 11, take the A317 west (following the A320 arrows as you leave the motorway) until the roundabout. Follow the A320 until you see signs for the A319 to Chobham. Drive to Chobham. Turn left at the T junction at the end of the A319 and drive down the High Street. Keep going through the town until the fork in the road and take the Guildford Road fork. Stay on this road until its end, which is the A322 just south of Queen’s Road.
