Resurrecting UKSN

I am considering resurrecting UKSN as a subscription service. Perhaps as a print newsletter posted to your very front door, or perhaps as a monthly email newsletter.

I’ve done it for free up until now but that was on the basis that it was a spare time thing. Time is money.

Thoughts and observations welcome in the comments section, particularly if you’d be interested in signing up for it.

Not averse to a subscription, I have a couple via Patreon (Forgotten Weapons for eg) – I think we’d need to see a taster article before the paywall came up?

I’ve enjoyed the focus you bring to UK shooting, though I must confess sometimes it’s felt a little more Daily Mail than Telegraph (that’s a terrible comparison but I’m struggling for anything better).

If you could write this in much the same style as say http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/ where the politics is kept to a minimum even while discussing the law – I’d certainly enjoy it more.

I’d be up for an e mail version, dependent on price, and would recommend to the Club secretaries of all the clubs I belong to get a subscription as you have been pretty invaluable on pointing out the various Home Office / EU maneuverings and providing very useful links in your articles that enable people to get the facts that quash the stupid rumours that spread round clubs.

Hello Gaz, Subject to cost I’d be interested in an e mail / electronic newsletter. I’d also recommend it to the Club secretaries of all the clubs I belong to. Robert Edminson

I would be up for it if certain important articles were kept free – certain things you draw attention to would otherwise not receive it, especially important things that I think definitely need it.

If you hadn’t written your article “Is the NRA asleep at the wheel?” I don’t think that they would have acted so quickly.

I am sure your valuable criticism of other organisations has its greatest impact in public rather than in private behind a paywall

You’ve basically given up, some people would call it lack of commitment, I would call it failure and utter worthlessness.

I’d be up for subscription. Electronic might be best.

It’s your time, Gaz. You give it to us for free; something that can be taken for granted. I like the idea of a subscription service. Plus it then goes to the people that actually want it, rather than going to the evils of the ‘net for anyone to hide behind a screen and throw stones at.
