Anti #EUgunban petition reaches 300,000 signatures

The petition against the EU gun ban plan has reached 300,000 signatures.

An update from campaign group Firearms United, which now handles the petition, said:

…And thanks to Stijn van Damn – who started the petition 2 months ago and gave it to Firearms United.

Firearms United was busy in the meantime. We will soon present a new report about firearms in Europe and we also have plans for more activities in Brussels during the next months.

We will need your help, so please stay tuned and also get more votes by sharing this petition – especially in the countries which did not reach yet the 5% of registered gun owners.

While this is undoubtedly a positive development, UK Shooting News’ author vaguely remembers that the EU vowed to ignore the petition shortly after it reached 100,000 signatures within days of the gun ban plan being announced.
